At Joie Designs, your custom letterpress design begins with a consultation in-person or via the telephone.  We want to know all about your event: style, vision for the day, location, colors, likes, dislikes, etc.  In preparation for our conversation, please also think through the following questions:
  1. How many invitation sets will you need?  Please make sure to order extra sets because it is more costly to reprint additional invitations at a later date.
  2. In addition to your wedding invitation and response card, what other components will you need (e.g., reception cards, maps/direction cards, programs, menus, thank you cards, etc.)?
  3. How would you like your invitations and other pieces to be worded?  What address do you want to use for your outer envelopes and response envelopes?  Do you need to present meal choices on your response card?  There are many things to think through and we can certainly help you through the process.

 After we have had our consultation, we can begin designing your wedding stationery.  A non-refundable deposit of $500 will be required at this time to initiate the design effort.

Within 3-4 weeks, you will be presented with two design options along with estimates via email.  Based on your feedback, any revisions necessary will be made to your chosen design and a new proof will be emailed to you.  Three rounds of revisions are included in the cost of your invitations.  Any additional rounds of revisions will be billed at $50 per round on your final invoice.

Once your design and text have been finalized, we will ask you to fax back the final proof with your signature, date, and “OK to print as is” written on each page.  Please check everything over carefully as Joie Designs will not be responsible for any errors that are on the approved proof. 

Upon receiving your final approval, the balance of your invoice will be due.  Once the payment has been received, we will go to press with your order.  Please allow 4 weeks for delivery once the final approval and payment has been received.



WORKING WITH OUTSIDE DESIGNERS

Do you already have a design created and need letterpress printing services? At Joie Designs, we love working with other designers to convert their creative ideas to paper and ink.

Estimates are provided upon request. Please send your design via email to info@joiedesignsltd.com or fax to 312.280.1104 and please provide as much information as possible, including:

  • Quantities of each piece
  • Size of each piece
  • Number of colors per piece and color choices
  • Paper specifications for each piece
  • Date needed

After an estimate is approved and payment is received, we will begin the production process and send your project to press.
